Die Stoffkante wird von vorne der Schnecke zugeführt, welche den Stoff doppelt einschlägt und so einen schmalen, festen Saum bildet. Durch den ZickZack Stich entsteht ein muschelförmiges gebogenes Stichbild entlang der Stoffkante und bildet dadurch einen wunderschönen Abschluß. Sehr gut geeignet an weichen, leichten Stoffen wie T-Shirt-Tricot.
