Der Brother Ausgleichsfuß links ist optimal für dicke Materialien wie Wolle, Denim und Tweed geeignet. Das Verhaken des Stoffes wird durch die gebogenen Kanten verhindert und die längere Form sorgt dafür, dass der Stoff besser gehalten werden kann. Außerdem wird durch die beschichtete Oberfläche das Nähen deutlich erleichtert.
Zum Einsatz kommt der Brother Fuß vor allem beim Versäubern, indem Nahtzugaben dicker Materialien, die zur Seite gefaltet sind, abgesteppt werden. Markierungen an drei Positionen erleichtern zudem das Positionieren der Nadel.
